Chenille is a weaving technique, not a material. How the loops are woven — their density, fiber weight, and backing method — determines whether you get a luxury-grade mat or a pile of flattened threads by month two. We manufacture to the former.
Our loops are woven at 1,200 GSM — roughly double the industry standard for bath mats. That density is what creates the plush underfoot feel and keeps the pile upright after dozens of wash cycles. Every edge is oversewn to prevent fraying, and the TPE backing is double-stitched to prevent separation over time.

How do I wash this mat without losing the softness?

After drying, the pile will return to its full loft. The mat is designed to withstand 30+ wash cycles without loss of softness.
Will the pile flatten over time?
No — this mat is woven at a high GSM density, roughly double the industry standard. The tightly packed loops maintain their structure wash after wash. If the pile ever looks compressed after washing, a quick 10-minute tumble dry on low will restore it completely.
Is this mat safe on radiant floor heating?
Yes. The chenille fibers and TPE backing are heat-compatible with radiant floor systems. We recommend keeping your floor heating below 35°C (95°F) for best longevity of the mat and backing.
